Frequently Asked Questions

Info on memberships, coaching programs, and more.
How Do Your Memberships and refunds Work?
Although I offer a single in-person session for those wanting basic instruction on strength training, most coaching memberships are on a month-to-month basis. This applies to both in-person and online programs. There are no commitments beyond the month you sign up for. However, I offer discounted rates for signing up for 3 or more months. In-person memberships include a set number of 1-hour training sessions per week, at the specific times and days you sign up for.

Refund Policy:
In-person training: Clients may cancel after their first session, but before their 2nd session.  A partial refund consisting of the month's payment MINUS the first session cost will be given. EXAMPLE: Client signs up for 1 month membership at $320 and cancels after 1 session. The amount of the refund will be $320 - $40 = $280.
Online Training: Clients may cancel within 7 days of the start of their program. A refund will be given MINUS a $50 client set up fee. EXAMPLE: Client signs up for $399 and cancels within 7 days. The amount of refund will be $399 - $50 = $349
Is Strength Training safe for children?
Exercise is safe and healthy for all ages. What the child will do in each session is determined by their physical maturity, level of coordination, comfort level, and a host of other variables I observe in the first session. A 12 yr old's session may look vastly different than a 14 yr old's session, but the goal will be to improve their physical abilities in both cases. For example, many 14 yr olds can safely perform barbell back squats, but an 11 yr old would most likely do walking lunges or something similar. Both exercises build strength and coordination while being appropriate for their level. View my Strength Programs for Kids.
I need to lose weight. will training help me?
My training programs are specifically designed for your goals. However, losing more than just a few lbs of "winter-weight" will require nutrition modifications in order to achieve drastic results. Training adds/preserves muscle, speeds up metabolism and diverts some of your daily calories to training recovery (instead of fat storage)...so training is crucial during weight loss, but it isn't the only thing.  Most of my adult weight-loss clients take advantage of my Training + Nutrition program for the greatest results. See my Nutrition Coaching Services to learn more.
I've never lifted weights before. is this right for me?
Most of my clients are beginners, who want to start training but are hesitant/nervous about starting in a large, crowded gym. Through my private sessions, I guide you through the process of learning correct movements and building the confidence needed to build a strong, healthy body.
I just need help with my nutrition. do you have seperate programs for this?
Yes. Visit my Nutrition Coaching Services page for more info. Clients of my nutrition coaching are still encouraged to partake in some form of physical fitness or make a commitment to increase daily activity to achieve the best results.
